To any Republican reading this... Do you not get how this is not how this is supposed to work? That in fact despite what Conservative media tell you, despite what the conspiracy mongers keep repeating, despite what friends, family or casual acquaintances continually make a point to tell you confidently... None of this is normal, this is explicitly not how electoral politics has been done and this level of brazen corruption is something we've not seen in over a century. To be sure, we have corruption in our government. But it's done in ways that isn't so obvious, and to be frank, it's usually not something that puts us as a nation, or the rest of the world into this level of danger and instability. Trump and his cronies do. The President should have NEVER been allowed to ask foreign governments for direct political aide, but he got away with it once so like a child, what conclusion do you think he's come to? And... If you were in lock step with the GOP then you contributed to that... But it's not too late. Please, just insert Obama, or Clinton or whomever you have a distaste for into all these stories of corrupt behavior, brazen norm breaking and incompetence. You know what you would say.

But... Maybe that isn't the issue. Maybe you know deep down how much of a criminal boob this man is... But you GOTTA keep supporting him. Your ego is too wrapped up in it now to ever go back. Your pride on some level is on the line and you convince yourself everyday that this obvious buffoon is the savior he paints himself to be... Simply put... **** your pride. Your pride isn't worth keeping an obvious moron and grifter in the White House. And you know it but the hurt to your ego is too much. Well... Too bad. You made a terrible decision based on a bad reading of a lot of things in America. You were, point blank... Willfully stupid, because it just felt so good to make people you are resentful for angry... Problem is, that feeling is not how we should choose our leaders and it's not some magic formula for good governance and policy, it's pretty much the opposite.

I mean, just on a simple level of seeing patterns... This man didn't have a saintly, squeaky clean life before he entered politics. It's actually easy for you all to get this information. Very easy. But you will choose to disbelieve it. Well, I'm telling you now believing it is not a choice. It's in fact the counter narrative that is something that should be viewed as obtuse and silly. Read up before the election and see that almost from childhood this man has been a dishonest, craven, grifting clown that has zero business acumen and even less experience being an honest, true and forthright leader with some kind of incredible vision. He's a faux gold plated fraud. And this constant cloud of corruption isn't something that was manufactured by an opposing party, it's something he brings with him everywhere. And it's through your support that he was able to track that into the White House.

But by simply letting go of your anger and resentment, by seeing this clearly for what it is, the obvious result of voting in a clownish criminal buffoon, and getting that there is really no excuse, no "Conservative" goal that is worth keeping this pile of human garbage in office, you can right it. You, the Conservative/GOP voter have the power to take a president down, but you have to get over yourselves first. When you do that, and then take the steps to pressure the rest of the elected officials of the Republican Party, especially those in the Senate, this nation will be on it's way towards rectifying a terrible and dangerous mistake but also getting us closer to fixing all the problems this man and his cronies have cause.

I don’t think Trump is going to be impeached. I think he’s going to win again in 2020. And I hope he continues to do more and more insane, corrupt things for the sheer amusement of watching his followers fry their brains trying to rationalize it.

“He got a good price for the White House, why are you complaining?”
“The Founding Fathers wanted George Washington to be king so making Trump king is just fulfilling their wishes”
“Unemployment is 0% since Trump brought back indentured servitude so how can it be a bad thing?”
And of course the old standards:
“My stock portfolio is doing great!” And “I don’t care if his policies have made my life worse, he OWNS DA LIBZ!”

So this is handy.

Donald Trump vs. the United States of America
Just the facts, in 40 sentences

By David Leonhardt

Sometimes it’s worth stepping back to look at the full picture.
• He has pressured a foreign leader to interfere in the 2020 American presidential election.
• He urged a foreign country to intervene in the 2016 presidential election.
• He divulged classified information to foreign officials.
• He encourages foreign leaders to enrich him and his family by staying at his hotels.
• He genuflects to murderous dictators.

Why do you mislead with your statement that they have been trying to impeach him since before he took office? First of all, you can't impeach a person from the office of president until they are actually the president. Secondly, it was just a week ago that the first ever impeachment inquiry was filed. So enough with the hyperbole.

If you look at those 5 statements. They are actually true. Several with actual recordings of Trumps calls. Not the smartest thing to do. laughing at them wont make them go away. Some fools have been known to laugh all the way to their gallows.

He ruined the GOP's chance to hold congress for a longggg time.

He flaunts his corruption and bending the law.

He put our national interest aside for his own political interest in Ukraine and possibly China.
