Maybe Congress can do an end around and provide weapons to the Kurds. I feel sorry for these fine people, who put women on the front lines of their fight, while radical Islamists keep them as sex slaves and forbid them to do anything.

Trump is the most amoral sociopath to be elected in politics that I have ever seen, and his supporters just can't get enough of it. This country has been going downhill for a long time, but now it's a race to the bottom.

Lol, yea, got to agree with that. After Obama became president, all of a sudden it became "how dare you protest against Obama", and Sheehan was what, decided to go sit outside Bush's ranch even though he was no longer president?

You have a report that Russia is going to be a participant in this? Link?

You cannot compare helping an ally in the Kurds maintain their safety with an invasion and occupation of Iraq under false pretense.

Oh wait….

This and the failure to defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan is the death of American goodwill in the region. If the relatively moderate Kurds, who have stuck their necks out and battled isis for years are betrayed.......again!, then no group in that region will trust us again. This will strengthen terrorist groups, as it is futile to side with the US vs them. The US will just leave when the domestic political winds changed, with no sense of honor or commitment. And the terrorists will still be there.

Turkey sees isis as a lesser concern and will aid them in order to use them as proxies vs the Kurds and Assad. This was a weak, lazy decision done with no foresight by an unfit President.

Absolutely, 100% correct, and every Republican in the Senate would agree, as long as his voters didn't find out.
