But they just end up going to the ER for every little thing. The hospital ends up billing the county which then raises your property tax. So you are paying for them anyway. If they could go to a regular doctor it would be far cheaper for everyone. That is the theory behind giving healthcare to poor people, ultimately it costs the tax payer less.
I suppose that the right wants people denied access to emergency care if they can't pay up front. I had a right wing friend argue with me saying that "poor people, immigrants, minorities and uninsured don't get billed at the ER"..... Huh????

You must be wealthy then. Hospital stays are very costly especially if you have to be there for a week or even months. No one can anticipate what their healthcare need will be in the future
Still feel U.S. Citizens, dependents of U.S. Citizens, and those withvU.S. VISAs who are 70 or older should have the right to 100% reimbursement of health services/pharmaceuticals if they choose so. With no monthly deductible.

There are many people who think the ER is free healthcare for anyone who needs it. Good luck with that. If you can't pay your bill, my hospital will drop you off at a 'free clinic'. Regardless of your problem, you'll go to the back of the long line of sick people at the free clinic.
You can have insurance, pay into it as a good little responsible trooper and insurance can deny certain treatments, non coverage. You can have insurance, I know of 2 cases where neither can get medications they need. One has to pay 3 K/year for injections (deductible is around that) and the other only covers generic meds. Her med is not available generic. So, you go without necessary medications, treatment is withheld essentially. This is with insurance.
Medicare does the same thing, denies coverage for certain treatments, etc. So if we get stuck with M4A, then what?

I am DONE with the prostitution like healthcare Insurance industry in the US where you pay your "pimp" (aka insurer) and they determine what you (the prostitute) will get in return.

What makes you think government-controlled healthcare will be any different? Just look at the government-run VA. They determine what treatments our veterans can receive and then ration the ones they will approve by placing many veterans on waiting lists.
