That email in addition to being a big nothing has nothing to do with the FISA Warrant. It indicates "the boss doesn't know we are in contact", what does that have to do with anything.

When Rosenstein appointed Mueller to the Russian Witch hunt, they were in contact secretly without the boss knowing it.. that same Rosenstein wanted to wear a wire to record the president as witnesses came forth.. So all 4 warrants were for spying, even after the election and even though Page had left the campaign.
Mueller and Rosenstein's contacts were private as they should be.
I don't see that as a walk back at all. When asked, he again clarified that he was paraphrasing the core message sent, not quoting it.
He was not paraphrasing what Trump said, he was making up lies and attributing them to Trump.
Trump never said anything remotely close to this: Schiff- “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand, lots of it."
