Because Shokin was NOT fired in December 2015. That's clearly substantiated by the Ukrainian record. Poroshenko may well have agreed but talk is cheap. It's true that the United States with Biden as point man (and the U.S. Senate and the IMF) kept up the pressure. But the loan guarantee funds were not released until an Obama - Poroshenko meeting in early April 2016 right after the Ukrainian Parliament formalized the Shokin firing.

Benedict Arnold was an American military officer who served as a general during the American Revolutionary War. Was he "outstanding" just because he served his country in a military capacity? Maybe try reading the testimony given under oath. He heard both people because Sondland was holding the phone away from his ear because it was so loud.
