Right. The President doesn't decide what is or isn't legal in a willy-nilly fashion based on his whims or attitude toward a country. Bribery is always illegal regardless of who you are dealing with. Since Trump can get away with paying hush money, bribery is certainly in his toolbox.
Alexander Vindman just stated that it is he who sets U.S. foreign policy.
That might be problematic for his career.
So would any LIES under Oath.

It’s been in the press via Politico and the New York Times since 2016-2017 and of course the Bragging of Former VP Biden on how he forced the firing of the leD Prosecutor in order for Ukraine to get $1.5 Billion dollars. Yet ... Vindman was unaware of all of this . No way.
Per the US-Ukraine treaty, Trump is well within his authority to ask Zelensky for the Ukraine's cooperation in investigating Biden's $1 billion bribery.
The DoJ was well within its authority to ask for Ukraine's assistance in an existing US investigation. Maybe you can cite the section of the treaty that addresses one President asking the other to give a favor by opening a new investigation?
This has been endlessly debunked, though. It's a lie. Biden shouldn't have helped his son get a job. I have a problem with nepotism in politics and there should be laws against it in all its forms. Strangely, though, we never hear from Trumpers about Trump's own nepotism and how his kids are raking in millions from their dad's position. It would be nice if you all were consistent on that.
But Biden wanted the prosecutor fired specifically because the prosecutor was corrupt, a long-standing issue in Ukraine. There is zero evidence that Biden did anything improper or illegal. You are swallowing conspiracy theories. There is a reason that Trump hasn't supposedly gone after corruption in any other country. He was targeting Biden because he was a political opponent.
I don't believe there's any evidence - or even credible assertions - that Biden helped Hunter get that job. He was aware that he was on the Burisma board and apparently agreed with his son to set up a "Chinese wall" - no familial shoptalk. That said, Hunter Biden being on the Board absolutely posed the potential for a conflict of interest. I agree that Biden should have pressured him to step down.
So, if Vindman and Schiff do not know the whistleblower, how come Vindman cannot answer who else he discussed the phone call with because of outing the whistleblower.
Ratcliff is making a dumb argument that because the witnesses never used the word "bribery" that means the bribery didn't happen.
