It doesn't matter whether the technical components of a crime exist or not. What matters is whether enough Senators feel that Trump has crossed a line that makes it obvious he is too incompetent and corrupt to ignore any longer. A good fraction of the Republicans in the Senate had nothing but contempt for Trump when was running and that is not likely to have gone away. They just keep silent and keep their heads down for political expediency. I suspect Trump would be easily convicted if the Senate voted anonymously.

You haven't seen the email. You haven't even been told exactly what the email says. You have no idea what the email shows. I repeat: Quote the exact words that indicate "clear direction".

The Ukraine situation has nothing to do with ending abortion, stopping the LGBT agenda, or restoring traditional values to America. Unless Trump does something that jeopardizes those goals of the Christian Right, he can do literally anything and not lose support.
I bet Obama withheld money to make sure they were going to use it without corruption. This is quite normal . We have known of governments withholding money and aid to the people as we sent money to other countries . Even after they got the money corruption set in by the governing body.. Haiti comes to mind and also Puerto Rico.

It won't mean anything if McConnell pulls a Moscow Mitch and doesn't call any witnesses. IF this were to happen, I hope Chuck talks to the Democrats and the reluctant Republicans to walk out when it comes to a vote. AFAIK a vote can't happen if there isn't a majority in a body of Congress.
