It's being tested. In this country a police force cannot implement such a device until it's been tested fully and approved for law enforcement use. It might have been useful in this case but can't use it if you don't have it. Thank your government red tape for that and the tons of law suits that create it.

This thread has really gone on for to long. From a military perspective we at one time used to do the three shot method. First shot was the air, if that didn't stop the person then the second shot was at the ground or below the knee, if that didn't stop the person then the third shot was into the chest. Time and time again, the first two shots nearly never worked with verbal warnings included. For year after year, for decade after decade; Nearly never. Thus now it's a verbal warning followed by a chest shot.

So, had he been able to either kill the officer with the knife, or got his firearm and shot him...is that what you tell the deceased officers family ? So sorry, he is just mentally ill and in crisis.

That is the left's attitude, plus they don't believe in locking up the dangerously mentally ill. This guy will plead mental and never go to jail.

He’s dead, isn’t he? I don’t think jail will be required.

Sorry. Someone posted earlier that he survived. Good thing he died. Saved taxpayers some money.
