You obviously know nothing about how a privilege works. You cannot assert executive privilege over a conversation you deny existed in the first instance.

Some of their constituents will be fine with the explanation that there was no need to call witnesses because soliciting election assistance from foreign governments is A OK.
Others may have a harder time going along with this BS.

In a normal trial, it depends on the type of trial and, in some types of trials, it depends on what goes on in the pretrial.
