It's telling when the Paul Ryan Republicans were touting tax reform one of the selling points was the index card-sized tax return. Simplify deductions, great. But their "ideal" tax system taxed capital gains at half the rate of income. That's it right there, for all to see.

As long as capital gains tax rates are lower than personal income tax rates, capital will be statutorily favored over labor. So much for the invisible hand. That so many people miss this is mystifying.
It is to bad the 911 hijackers did not have nukes onboard.
It would have been a total reset and a complete wipe out of the parasites in the financial district.

All the Democrats care about is the public sector unions, which is really a form of scam. Private sector and public sector unions are two entirely different beasts. It's not much of a topic of discussion in the 2020 primaries, either.

Yes, true.

Show me where Obama even talked about private sector union reform. FDR was first elected in 1932, when of course the priority was the great depression. He passed major labor reform in his first term; in fact he passed reforms in his first 100 days.

Even after the GOP took the house in 2010, Speaker John Boehner worked closely with Obama, as had Tip O'Neil with Reagan. See Woodward's book The Price of Politics about Obama and Boehner.

You can't get Obama off the hook by just blanket blaming everything on the GOP.

He was a crook.

Actually, when I think about it, I support companies shutting down, that is their right.

It is also workers rights to form organizations, it is protected under freedom of speech.
No laws should be enacted that abridge that right.

Right to Work States are an affront to that freedom. Let the workers go elsewhere or let the company shut down.
Right to work states gives the WORKER the CHOICE.

Not sure why you hate workers having a choice.

We all know what right to work is all about. Do not play dumb, you are not a talk radio host or a republican lawmaker.

Workers do have a CHOICE!
They can go to work for the other 95% of the companies that do not have a union in the COUNTRY.

Right to work, is about giving more RIGHTS to the OWNERS that pad the politicians pockets.
It is the same song and dance that has been going on for the past 40 years.

Billions spent by business owners across this nation and to state lobbyists attests to this.

Choice to do what? Work for low pay and no benefits or starve. That's some choice.
