And, still, even if the above is a "given", most people do not support measures that would go a long way to reducing costs (for example, government-funded birth control and establishing regulations in which hospitals would be expected to refuse expensive treatment for very old people and terminal cases in which death would almost certainly occur in less than a year even if treatment was given). And I, personally, would gladly sign a directive that would allow me to humanely be killed if my mind and/or body had deteriorated to the point that I could not care for myself at all, ever again, instead of going to an 8' x 10' nursing home "cell" with the stink of urine around me -- courtesy of tax money at the rate of $6,000 a month or more.
Yes, I "know" that many of you might respond to some or all of the above in a very negative way, but that will just prove my point, so please don't bother.
If you are gravely ill, the Hospital Industry will look at your bank account and ability to pay, if you are broke, they will put you on a morphine drip and kill you off. If you have a fat bank account, they will drain your bank account and then put you on a morphine drip and kill you off.
They do that as a favor to the lobbyists in the Insurance and Healthcare Sector that are the top spenders in the nation.
Protectionism.
Free Market Capitalism does not exist in America.
There are many ways to drive costs down in America with free market capitalism alone, but the shareholders and healthcare and insurance industry do not want to lose their cash cow.
Bring in cheap clinics and doctors from Mexico, no more out of network BS.\
The same people have no problem with driving down other peoples wages via globalism in order to make bank.\
There are a ton of free market capitalist ways to bankrupt the healthcare industry in America.
What a bunch of nonsense!
No matter how much a particular shareholder wants to hold on to the high price, a competition in a free market will drive it down.
The problem is the government regulations create monopolies and prevent competition from entering the market.
Get rid of the government and we will have a fantastic health care system.
The government has empowered, protected and entrenched the AMA monopoly power over the doctor supply for almost 100 years. It's not a new thing. It's not a Democrat or Republican thing. It's a "government protected monopoly going back a century" thing.
The Government of the USA works for the richest Americans, no one else. If you have deep pockets, you get everything you ask for.

Again pure crap and only true in a “Medicare for all” government monopoly.
The only reason we have crappy health care is because the government helps to create monopolies in every area from pharmaceutical companies to health insurance to hospitals and doctors through licensing, regulations, approvals and outright prohibition.
It’s time to give the government more power to create more monopolies!
You have said in the past, we give the government the power they have by voting for presidents bought off by lobbyists.
Would you vote for a president that vowed to kick lobbyists out of the government?
My initial response to you was concerning the allegation that medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the US. Since I provided the reasons that is not true you have moved the goalposts to launch a diatribe against the AMA, which has a far smaller impact on medical care than you seem to think it does.
The fact is the AMA supports increasing the number of doctors.
If you want to discuss "their contradictions list", you post a link to said list.
The fact is the AMA is subversive and anyone who pays attention to lobbying, corporatism, bribery, etc knows this. They've given nearly $500 million dollars to political campaigns in the past 20 years. What they say and what they do behind the scenes are two different things.
If you want to sleep well on the admittedly debatable role of medical errors in patient deaths go right ahead. I have no problem conceding that. Your socialist system sucks regardless.
