Her central thesis is that the other justices are disagreeing with her are being partisan hacks that are not weighing the merits of the case. A fairly unprofessional claim for the court members.
It's the same type of argument I hear around this forum quite frequently, the accusation of bias because someone has an opposing viewpoint.
Since she is a supreme court justice, her statements carry more weight and thus it's not unreasonable to be bothered by her claims while if it were our neighbor "Cindy" complaining about the court we would not care.
As for the use of the word "whining" I agree with you, I guess I'd probably call it unprofessional instead.
She is a disgrace. And, as I mentioned in another post just now, this really boils down to her being upset that she and her 4 leftist partisan hacks (using her line of thought) aren't able to muster a 5th vote.
Wonder how that political hack got into those universities. Probably affirmative action as well!

Justice Sonia Sotomayor said she is concerned the Supreme Court is going out of its way to help the Trump administration.
The high court voted along ideological lines on Friday to grant the Trump administration's demand for an emergency request to stay an injunction in an Illinois case regarding the restriction of low-income immigrants from entering the United States. Sotomayor wrote in an opinion that her conservative colleagues on the Supreme Court, who have the majority, are “putting a thumb on the scale in favor of” the Trump administration.
“It is hard to say what is more troubling,” Sotomayor wrote on Friday. “That the government would seek this extraordinary relief seemingly as a matter of course, or that the Court would grant it.”

Sen Reid changed the rules so that lower court and Cabinet nominees could be confirmed with a simple majority, rather than the typical 60-vote threshold. He was warned about the consequences, which he ignored. Now, a Republican led Senate and White House have returned the favor, with a historic pace of federal judiciary nominations and confirmations.
Democratically controlled states waged legal jihad against every move a nascent Trump administration attempted, only to be repetitively and majorly overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. Now Justice Sotomayor is complaining about the results of the block "them" any way you can, activated by progressive liberal political legal cabal.

You're right. There is no such thing as "reverse racism." There's only racism. And anyone--regardless of racial background--can be racist.
Her comments has nothing to do with one's political leanings and everything to do with the current administration statistically appearing to overreach with its position of what constitutes a true emergency requiring interlocutory relief at the Supreme Court level.
Apparently, this is now the 24th time that the Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to put a lower court decision on hold in less than three years compared to a total of eight such requests during the 16 years of the George W. Bush and Obama administration's combined. Sotomayor's dissent - if you bother to read it - is really aimed at addressing that issue.
But I know that facts and analysis will take a back seat to neanderthals bashing liberal judges. So do carry on.

The underlined connects the dots for you. She says there is a pattern. The government (Trump) wants something and the Supreme Court yields to their desires.
The Supreme Court has to. That's it's job. Nationwide injunctions are almost always improper.
