I get that canceling large gatherings help stop spreading the virus. But that doesn't mean it will not pick up again once we are back to normal again. Right?
No one knows with certainty how this virus is going to react or mutate. It may burn out over the summer only to re-emerge with a vengeance, come autumn, right before the election.

It is uncertain if those with the virus will have future immunity.

Based on right now, a vaccination will not be available, this year.

About 50% of the US population does not vaccinate against seasonal flu.

Fair point. Dr. Fauci said the travel ban saved us from massive spread early on. It got here anyway, now we have to reduce the spread as much as possible until it plateaus and eventually declines. Hand washing, social distancing and CDC coming through with improved testing this week will prevent infections. The panic is outrageous and helps nothing, same for kicking the political football around.

Most of them in the last few weeks have apparently come from Europe. So, that is "through the border," yes?

Thankfully, President Trump has taken steps to mitigate unsafe border crossings between the US and Europe for the time being. Agreed?

Yes, it doesn't matter what your birth place is, or why you're traveling, or what your skin color is, if you're traveling, you can be a disease vector. That is all.

Well the whole USA has a border. But we all know the political point is the southern border.

Why not?

What better way to isolate than keeping people in their cars instead of waiting rooms.

Hospitals in my neck of the woods are setting up tents adjacent to hospitals and diverting people with flu like symptoms from entering the ER. All they need are test kits.

Most will not need hospitalization.
