Exactly. It won't work hopefully but we've seen that liberals will say and do anything to regain power. This is just the latest iteration of it. It doesn't matter to them that they are ruining the lives of millions of people in the process.
But hey if we are this damn powerful ..and thAt dang “ Deep” trust me ( and my liberal leaning dogs) Trump would not have gotten within 1000 miles of the White House. He would still be pooping on his gold toilet and gleefully boinking porn stars while his family produced foreign made goods and made deals with Russians and Saudis for more Trump resorts.
I'll bet it's been in the major US cities longer than they realize. They only recently started testing for it. People likely assumed it was just a bad flu, unaware of what they actually had. According to the news thousands have already had it and recovered. And I'll bet that number is much higher. As the testing ramps up, watch how many cases will be reported. I think it's more widespread than the doctors realized.
You're probably right. This would make the mortality rate drastically lower than the 3.4% that the alarmists have been shrieking about for the last week.
Whatever the mortality rate, unless its in the 10-15% percent range, that is not a justification to shut down the country and the world in my opinion.
I fail to see the hang up over tests. If you don’t show symptoms you won’t be tested anyway, if you show any symptoms, stay home. This isn’t that complicated.
Keep in mind we have shut down the entire country over 3,400 cases with a population of 360 million.
The hang up over the testing is the media sees it is something that did have some snags. I truly believe that is why it is being harped on over and over. We still have one of the lowest death rates out of affected countries.
I don't think it has played a big part yet.
I also think we have way overreacted but others may have a lot more knowledge and information than me.
I'm glad to see you've now become a Trump defender.
Or is he wrong to be taking the draconian actions that are being taken?
Are you kidding? The Federal Government hasn't done anything "draconian". Every medical professional and administrator I know is furious that he has failed to take this seriously and implement the appropriate measures to help coordinate a national response. Telling people that Barron recognizes this is "very bad" and advising not to gather in groups larger than 10 after the virus has been spreading across our country unchecked for months is the opposite of "draconian." Don't be daft.
Anybody seen Wilbur Ross? With commerce shut down all over the place, you'd think the Secretary of Commerce might make an appearance.
How about Betsy DeVos? Last I heard, she still heads up the Dept. of Education. What does she have to say about all the schools shut down for who knows how long?
How about the Office of Management and Budget? Does Mulvaney still head that up?

Agreed. And apparently there are antibody tests that can tell us who has the virus weeks or months after people have recovered. I hope those are being used too. The more information we have the better.
