Oh for G sakes, you don't get how the brain of a clinical narcissist works.
He was in denial about the crisis because he thought it would hurt the economy which is the strong point of his presidency. His first thought was his own self aggrandizement, not being a leader during a crisis. Anybody who understands this guys personality disorder knows exactly why his first response was to deny that anything was going on.
They certainly haven't been doing testing to everyone who shows symptoms, there haven't been enough test kits, largely due to the fact that dear leader refused to accept free ones from WHO
As President Trump stated in his address a few days ago, if you show symptoms, go to your doctor and have yourself checked out appropriately for this virus.
South Korea has tested at five times the rate we are. Its pathetic. At this very moment, there are hundreds of doctors and nurses who ere exposed but not necessarily infected quarantined because of the lack of tests.
Again, south korea have two ground zero : one in a hospital, the other one is the church. 60% of their cases is related to that one church.
Right now, we already have community transmission, we must practice social distancing. Regardless how many people we test, if we don't self quarantine, or practice social distancing, we will be like Italy.
I must have missed the part where President Trump publically tried to attack a state Governor. But I did listen to President Trump's public address a few days ago when he was addressing the Coronavirus outbreak for well over an hour. President Trump stated that he's working closely with Gavin Newsome who represents the state of CA in regards to the Coronavirus outbreak. Though I do not like Newsome, I was happy to hear that they were working on dealing with this outbreak.
Can't make this stuff up.... eh?
When push comes to shove they know to put politics aside for the moment.
Trump got it wrong and now has it right.
That seems to drive some people over the edge. Evidently it irritates them when someone admits their mistake - even if they do it days later.
I'm calling BS on what you've written and I've highlighted. The US is testing everyone who shows symptoms, is known to have come in direct contact with, and who has died with symptoms of this.
Here's just one such instance / example where people who met such criteria were being tested:
As I wrote somewhere else, this is incorrect. They are turning away many people who have requested a test and are displaying symptoms. I personally know of such people experiencing this right now, and have decided to self quarantine. And even better, they expect a person who is sick to actually get in a car or something and commute to a primary care doctor, and that doctor needs to authorize the test to be given, but that doctor has guidelines and authorizing such a test.
So no, the US is not testing everyone who shows symptoms.
