Didn't have time to verify through multiple sources, but it's consistent with pretty much everything he's done as POTUS. If this is true, then he'll go down in history, but it won't be good for him.
He continues to bungle this issue, left and right. He just does not have it in him to concentrate long enough to plan a cohesive response. As it stands now, the travel ban is symbolic only. Anyone can come in through UK, and it seems now that Americans can come and go as the please. Hooray for freedom and all that, but if we're talking about stopping or slowing the spread of the virus, this doesn't really help.

No, he really wasn't. What he needed to do was give a public address stating that we are facing a very very dire situation and need to be prepared to sacrifice our normal daily lives to prevent it from becoming even worse. What he did was poo poo it, claiming it was a democratic hoax, that it would go away on its own, and to not worry, all because he didn't want reality to impact his beloved economy. From day one we should have been establishing a response plan, instead we are two months in and still can't even test adequately!!!
This crisis has laid bare ALL of Trumps weaknesses, and it will come back to haunt him in November. All the Dems have to do now is run repeated ads of him stating "Its a democratic hoax". In the mean time our medical system is going to be hemorrhaging with stories of people dying because of lack of access to ventilators....its over for Donnie.
Everyone needs to take this very seriously, change your daily routines, stop going to crowded areas, practice over the top hygiene. Start isolating now, because its the only thing that is going to slow the spread of this illness.

Trump has never let someone calling him a racist stop him from doing anything. Schumer calling the travel ban racist is irrelevant. Trump was free to do as he pleased like he's done every other time people have called him racist.

Times like this I wish moderates from both sides of the aisle could meet in the middle and work together to get something done, while the extremists on both sides continue to point fingers and bicker like children.

So can someone explain to me how the payroll tax credit will help a worker who is home sick and not working and therefore not getting paid?
And isn't the biggest concern people who don't get paid when they don't get work?
So someone who has two part time jobs because corporations don't hire full time.....don't get sick leave with either company. They get sick or have to quarantine because a loved one is sick, how does the fact that payroll tax credit to those still working help that individual.
Payroll tax cut will do nothing for most of the people who need help. I think congress has already acknowledged that.
