Interesting.

But it has nothing to do with Hydroxychloroquine. It is not a treatment, it is a vaccine. Completely different animal.

Like comparing apples to lasagna.

They were just pointing out to many out there who rushing to have a vaccine asap which people online were clamoring for. There were other drugs for repurpose that have some success in Asia like Kaletra too. This is going to be a long process...likely till end of year, so right now it is up to the patient.

Not trying to prove anything. It's obvious if you're close to death, why not give Hydroxchloroquine a try. It's up to the patient to decide from mild to severe and in between his illness when he wants that drug. That lady was trying to calm down people online who want to shortcut the vaccine trials right away with various drugs including hydrox.

.
I agree with this. It is not easy to “rush” out a vaccine, and do it safely.

100%.

We were doing a "virtual happy hour" with some dear friends last night - one of whom runs drug trials for a large pharma company headquartered in Denmark. He said that the 18 mo time frame would be a "pedal to the metal", maybe even taking a few shortcuts, sort of estimate.

Strap in, folks.

There is an article in the fake news today (based on a NYC you tube claiming from a doctor in a NYC ER) that the ventilators are not working and are causing lung damage. That doctor says the serous patients need to get oxygen not have ventilators pushing pressure into already clogged lungs.

If true that might help. There is a machine that takes blood out of you oxygenates it and puts it back.

Default Doc using the drug...81% of his patients getting better....

They are still bashing Trump on CNN about this.

Meanwhile, a doctor is using the drug and reports his patients do not have the long-term need for a ventilator

A New York doctor hopes to help his elderly COVID-19 patients with a treatment plan inspired by the success tentatively being reported with hydroxychloroquine — and which he says shows promising results.

Dr. Mohammud Alam, an infectious disease specialist affiliated with Plainview Hospital, said 81 percent of infected covid patients he treated at three Long Island nursing homes recovered from the contagion.

More than 81% of people recover without hydroxycholorquine. That metric alone is worthless.

One of the most important properties of hydroxychloroquine is that it increases the uptake of zinc into cells.
We know from research that zinc disrupts viral replication, and it’s why we use zinc lozenges during flu and cold season. Doctors using it successfully in NY and China are saying it must be used early on at the beginning of the infection to be really successful — also using it with Azithromycin antibiotic enhances its action.

It is odd to me that one should dismiss something that potentially can save their life, especially something that potentially they can get for themselves. Are people that blind in faith toward the medical community?
If there is a way to avoid going to a doctor or hospital I favor it.
It is observing good common sense and alternative medicines, often times the medicines they give have side effects are worse than the disease.
Good sense
1. rest
most people get sick due to fatigue

2.water.
hydrating is essential in flushing out one's kidneys, they are your bodies filter.

3. fuel.
you can't run your vehicle on fuels it is not designed for, junk food is just that, junk not food.

4. Activity
people without a demand on activity in their existence are the least healthy physically and mentally.

5.Environment.
All my life it has been quite evident to me, that the people I choose to associate with can either tear me down or build me up.
If they are trouble then I share the same fate, if they are upright I tend to share the same fate. If you ae not there to say no, to the things people you hang with want to do that clearly is wrong, you are approving of their bad behavior, whether you participate or not.
One thing this pandemic is going to do is separate the disciplined from the undisciplined.
