I'm not speaking for "my side" in that post, I'm speaking for logic.

Most say Trump cannot do an interstate travel ban. Congress would have to change laws, most likely the constitution. Perhaps for round two of this virus in the fall.

Default Fauci Admits The Government's Slow Response Has Costed American Lives

Well, as late as mid-March Trump and the right-wing were still calling this pandemic a hoax. So what do you expect from an administration so clueless.

Thanks God the Democratic governors/mayors sprung into action.

Quote:

Fauci admits earlier COVID-19 mitigation efforts would have saved more American lives

Asked why the President didn’t recommend social distancing guidelines until mid-March — about three weeks after the nation’s top health experts recommended they be put in place — Fauci said, “You know, Jake, as I have said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often, the recommendation is taken. Sometimes it’s not. But we — it is what it is. We are where we are right now.”

Default US's global reputation hits rock-bottom over Trump's coronavirus response

This article hit the nail right on the head.

Quote:

US's global reputation hits rock-bottom over Trump's coronavirus response

Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, which he once dismissed as a hoax, has been fiercely criticised at home as woefully inadequate to the point of irresponsibility. Yet also thanks largely to Trump, a parallel disaster is unfolding across the world: the ruination of America’s reputation as a safe, trustworthy, competent international leader and partner. Call it the Trump double-whammy. Diplomatically speaking, the US is on life support.

“The Trump administration’s self-centred, haphazard, and tone-deaf response [to Covid-19] will end up costing Americans trillions of dollars and thousands of otherwise preventable deaths,” wrote Stephen Walt, professor of international relations at Harvard. “But that’s not the only damage the United States will suffer. Far from ‘making America great again’, this epic policy failure will further tarnish [its] reputation as a country that knows how to do things effectively.”

Once this is all over the world will still want US leadership and more importantly its dollars.

Fauci also on record in January saying that the virus was not expected to be a major threat to America.

That there was still no evidence of human to human transfer.

Trump was listening to him while Dems were still crying about Ukraine in the membrane and calling him racist for imposing the travel ban.

Another thread fail.

You're 0 for 2 tonight Beb0p.

Not impossible.

Just impossible for Trump as far as you're concerned.

Your preconceived bias precludes any other opinion

Funny you asked. What was the Democrats doing in February, you asked??

They were only preparing to fight the virus!!!

The Democrats put together an emergency fund for fighting the virus in early Feb. The Stable genus turned it down.

Senator says White House turned down emergency coronavirus funding in early February

Yeah, that's how early the Democrats knew. It would have been so much better if they were in charge.

You stepped right into that rebuttal and got dunked on. You good?
