It's mostly down to one's personal prejudices.

A lot of these sjw's see nothing wrong with, for example, a black person getting really into Asian culture or an Asian person getting really into Chicano culture and then adopting the dress, media, dietary habits, etc. They may even think it's empowering and wonderful. But the second a white person does it, they are ready to launch with all their denigrating, racist comments and accusations ("ok sweaty," "sounds about white," "colonizer," etc).

Bless your heart.
Crosses a lot of people's mind lately. Hence the discussion.

I think it’s BS. Cultures have appropriated other cultures since the dawn of time.

I suppose I should be outraged that black American Nick Cannon is culturally appropriating Sikh culture by wearing a turban, since he admitted that he wears them because it makes him “feel like royalty.” But I really don’t care. Apparently some people see an opportunity in calling others out.

Long live the American dream.

Yup.

There's no better place to live and get to decide your outrage du jour than the First World.

Yep. There is nothing worse than a Progressive with nothing better to do than look for ways to be offended and ways to take Rights, Freedoms and Liberties from others due to their CAUSE DU JOUR.

^^^Boom. Best answer.

They're also selective in application of their outrage. Fong's Pizza is ok but Becky's Asian Cuisine is evil!!! lol

(Caveat, unless Becky is black etc. then they'll move on to the next target)

That’s all it is. Cool appropriation. There’s nothing wrong with it unless you’re being corny with it.

My heroes are Miles Davis and Steve McQueen. What do they have in common? Their coolness. People will always wanna steal that.
