I don't know why Trump gives them a press meeting day after day when all they do is to try and get him with a GOTCHA!
Trump is the perpetual optimist that thinks the media is going to treat him with a bit of respect tomorrow but they are so consumed with hatred for the man that they can't help themselves.
The Lefty media thinks that they are scoring points against Trump for their party but what they are actually doing is turning Trump into a victim, the underdog and people like to help people that have been bullied...
Trump should stop the press conferences and see how the media responds.
Trump will never stop because he addicted to the attention, been that way since the 80's. Trump cannot do rallies so he is doing what ever it takes to get on television.
Remember in his head he an C list celebrity that happens to be President. C list celebrities know in order to stay relevant you have to be in the news or in the media. He still lives by this mindset and could care less how embarrassing his appearance is as long as its televised Nationally.

Respect is earned, not given. Spitting on our POWs was just the tip of the iceberg for this sad specimen of humanity.

Exactly. It’s what a mother does when her kids acted like spoiled, entitled children - give them a time-out. If Trump were to continue to engage with such hateful “journalists,” it teaches them that their behavior is acceptable, which it is clearly not.
Quite a contrast with the lovefest from journalists during Obama’s pressers, huh?
The questions were stupid and inflammatory. How would your react if someone asked you "When did you stop beating your wife?" I, for one, am happy to see a President with the backbone to shutdown ill-intentioned members of the press corps. Treat people civilly and you will generally be treated civilly in return.
“When did you stop beating your wife?” is a nasty loaded question when asked of the average Joe because it bakes in the unfounded assumption that poor Joe is beating his wife. Unlike the above, the question: “Why are you making this a global competition?” does not bake in an unfounded assumption. It is utterly and completely obvious that Trump is making this a global competition. He is constantly crowing about how the US is doing better (by some carefully chosen metric) than every other country. It’s like asking a notorious, proven wife-beater, when he stopped beating his wife. Totally legit.
These clowns posing as reporters often weave accusations into their questions !!! If there was an honest bone in their bodies they would just make the accusation but that's not their job is it ? No it isn't !!! Their objective is clear !!! They want to create an argument !!! Again, not their job !!! Not their job to act as professional agitators !!!

You show respect, you will get respect. The Left has shown disdain for this President from day one and if they can dish it out, they better be able to take it.
