There is a difference between tough questions and setting up a straw man narrative in the form of a question.

She did the same thing that Liberal posters do here every day.

Not only was it immature, partisan pablum......it was an irrelevant waste of time.

It wasn’t a straw man narrative. Do you know what “straw man” means? It is completely obvious that Trump wants to turn the pandemic into a global competition.

No normally he gets the media outlet to back down like NBC did over Barr, even though the full clip didn't change much at all.

Yeah, I didn't think her response was fair at all. I'm sure he had no idea what nationality she was. He was just responding to the question by telling her to ask China. Nothing nefarious there.

If your questions are not DIRECTLY related to that - and entirely apolitical or without spin - then why are you at a VIRUS briefing?

Happens almost every day here for the Governor's brief - there is inevitably a question like: "The President's policies seem to contradict your own. Will you focus on that during the re-election campaign?" WHAT? THE? EFF? Do not care right now. Not even a little bit. Stupid waste of time, MY TIME, and I wouldn't blame anyone on either team for bashing that reporter. You are right - these guys serve the public - that's ME - not the press.
It was an extremely important question. The fact that Trump has turned this into a global competition will come back and bite us in the butt. Scientists around the world are racing to produce a vaccine and they are collaborating like never before. But Trump’s America First policy means that in the end if other counties develop a vaccine, Americans might not have equal access to it. All because of Trump’s stupid, stupid need to turn every last thing into a huge competition.

I’m glad she called him out on it!

This administration HATES the free press. They only like FOX because they never Question Trump or any of his crackpot theories like swallowing bleach. This president is so childish it’s unbelievable. Sure will be nice to have an adult in charge for a change

So, in other words... "No, he can't handle it. We must only ask Donald nice questions he likes."

Thanks for playing..

And he doesn't have the tact, diplomacy, leadership, intelligence, composure, to be able to respond appropriately.

No - not partisan, not pablum.

it was in response to the Trump assertion that anyone can get a test and the question was why can't the general public get a test before going back to work like the WH staff - a perfectly reasonable thing for a WH correspondent to ask.

Trump's doesn't have an answer so he does the same thing he always does - divert and attack. The president is merely showing off his incompetence.
