Just do as the officer asks and give him what he asks for. It's not hard.
I am unswayed.
It was death by stupidity. Don't resist and you'll be fine. There is no requirement that cops must be punched at least X # of times before forceful restraint is used.
Just wanna check Mr Law & Order... What's your position on the mandatory lockdowns and masks requirements that are being issued?
You would think the officers involved would have taken note of Officer Noor's conviction.
If the coroner determines that the officer's actions played a role in this death, I think we'll see at least one of these officers tried for 3rd Degree Murder, like Noor.
Minnesota's third degree murder statute reads: “Whoever, without intent…causes the death of another by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life…”
No, they weren't. The were standing by while the officer was subduing the perp with enough force to keep him stillbut not enough force to endanger his life, or so it appeared at the time: the guy was breathing well enough to talk and keep talking.
The fact that the man’s dead determines, that is a lie...
Police have got to be the most poorly trained profession in the U.S. They simply don't know what they're doing. How many times have we seen police overreacting to a situation that easily could have been remedied without excessive force? If the guy was already cuffed and on the ground, how did the cop think he was going to get away? Stupid.
I’m not defending these guys, but we also don’t deal with the criminal element on a daily basis either, it jades you. I liken it to politicians, they all head to DC with great intentions, until your in the middle of the cesspool and it starts growing on you.
He was talking. Therefore he was breathing. Can't do the one without the other.
Even a beginner grappler can slap a RNC or neck crank on you that can make it very hard to breathe and still put you unconscious in 10 sec. You don't need to completely cut off airflow to suffocate someone to kill them.
Or t think about it this way... Do a 30 sec sprint. Now imagine someone clamping a breathing device on your mouth that limited your intake to the same rate it was before you started the sprint. What do you think is going to happen in 30 sec?

State-sanctioned in the sense the we have public policing. Just the paradigm in general.
They got canned and may very-well be held accountable in a courtroom but that isn't going to bring the man back nor is it going to change the fact that onlookers, knowing they could be next, had to stand by and helplessly watch it go down.

What's your position on civilians who assault police officers?
