It was basically a lesson in open insults / base-machismo that merely assures closed door insults. The assaulter will ponder those dynamics from behind bars.
Men without prison records endure insults without retaliation. It is part of being a man.

What I find interesting is, 9 times out of 10, if I hear that word, it's coming from an African American. But realistically, there's nothing anyone can say to me that would justify physical violence. If the races were reverse and a black man was knocked out for calling someone a cracker or whatever, it would probably be reported on the news and mobs may show up on the man's lawn.
I grew up in a black majority community and learned very early that only black folk can call each other the N word and they do it a lot.

Respectfully, no way. I've recently reviewed assault charge statutes. He's getting charged with felony battery, and maybe worse, and there will be a multi-year mandatory minimum. If his trial goes badly for him, and it may, he could be in jail for the next decade.

You won't get a chance to because he'll be in jail for years.
It is your type of ineffectual catharsis that is the hallmark of men with assault records, or the potential for such in the future.
Men without assault records say "that was stupid" and men who are prone to violence allow themselves the indulgence of satisfying short term anger or congratulating it (essentially living vicariously through someone else doing it - and sometimes getting off sexually on it).
I know that you don't emotionally understand this difference.
And why so mad at one man's racist sentiment? "Putting him to sleep" changes nothing about why racists feel the way that they do. If anything, it completely reinforces their assumptions.
Its better to be better. Then they can't look down on you.
