I see types of speech that aren't protected under the 1st amendment, but I don't see where the courts say so then you can go ahead and seriously assault someone who says them.
"Not protected speech" isn't the same things as "go ahead and punch someone in the head".

Nobody who carries responsibly would act like that in the first place. If you go around baiting people into attacking you so you can feel justified shooting them then you should not being carrying in the first place. it's a major responsibility requiring a level of maturity.
