I haven’t seen much division at all in my area, and by that I mean pretty much none. The town I live in is very diverse, with every ethnicity I can think of represented. Everyone gets along fairly well, and about the only way that changes is if someone - no matter their ethnicity - is acting stupid. Most are in agreement with the actual protesters, but I’ve yet to see anyone supporting the rioters.
Remember, these forums are largely populated by people who are opinionated enough to want to state their opinion, partisans who are so blinded by their belief in their party that they would argue with the opposite “team” if they said the sky was blue, and not a few trolls that just like to stir things up. P&OC is in no way representative of the population at large.
I see way more division, but I stand on the other side. I always knew black lives mattered like literally everyone did, so there no reason to affirm that over other lives. I don't believe there is systemic racism or that our country was founded on racism or that we need to bring down the system to eliminate racism.
I also don't align with the politics of the BLM org so if you're mindlessly throwing your money and support to them because you don't like racism you're actually doing more. Maybe you agree with it all or maybe you don't but the majority of people don't think about that.
Saying "all lives matter" in response to "black lives matter" is like telling Susan Komen to cut it out with all the pink ish on account of all cancer sucks. And while that is true, it misses the point.
‘Must spread rep’. I see a lot of virtue signaling. Not sure that equals unity. And if you’re not so into virtue signaling, there’s plenty on non-unity around to be heaped upon your head.
Well, the liberals have moved on to a new tactic on social media. Now, if you are silent and don't say what they think a woke person should say, your silence proves your racism.
I find the juxtaposition of these two phrases to be quite interesting, in that "we are all in this together" and "being on the brink of a new civil war" are about as opposite as one can get.
Oh here is one for you. White woman calls police on a guy dancing in the street. The caller was a quarter mile away from the "dangerous dancing man" and still called. The guy was restrained and put into custody. https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/20...ing-in-street/
This stuff is getting to be unbelievable. It is just horrible.
Since you just know that all liberals are dividers, quote a post of mine where I've been divisive, or take all that 'all liberals are divisive' crap, and shove it back where crap comes from. I am so effing sick of people arrogantly presuming to know what I believe simply because I have liberal leanings. Y'all don't know ish about me.
Not true.
We know you have smoke coming out of your ears right now...reminiscent of an old cartoon.
