The way they want to run their cities, they have just too much overhead. Not enough money since they give out most of it and line their pockets with even more of it. Corrupt local government isn't going to miraculously provide honest results.
They cannot, because they think that fixing the problems requires more government regulation and control of everybody (not just the ones rioting and burning), and they think that people WANT that ballooning government control.
They will not, because they believe that having more problems increases the need for government regulation and control, and solving the problems will decrease that need. Thus getting rid of the need for liberals. And they are 100% against that outcome. So they won't try very hard.
And because of these two characteristics of liberals, their cities will remain broken.
Are they inept, don't care, or are the democrat politicians benefitting too much by all the carnage and destruction to make any changes? (they are benefitting by keeping their office & income to keep it as is).
Is the reason the same in every city, or does it vary city to city?
I think in Chicago, they just don't care. They seem content letting the gangbangers kill each other off. That could work if we shut down the Mexican border, but there are more Mexican cartel gangsters moving to Chicago each day than there are gangbangers getting murdered.
Maybe we need to bring back Eric Holder and his Fast and Furious free guns program, and hand them to everyone standing on the street corners in South Chicago. Maybe increasing the murder rate would be better since the Dems wont close down the border, or end sanctuary cities?

But, of course, that will never happen because deep down, the complainers know that they have it good in the USA. It's there terrible life choices that land them in trouble.

I'm more interested in hearing why Democrats cant fix them. Are they even trying? Don't they care? Where's the empathy?

You have to realize that in their heart of hearts, deep down inside, at their absolute core, they do not believe and cannot comprehend that anything is their fault.

Thanks, I did not think of that possibility. That could be the actual answer. All the Mayors, City Councils, Police Chiefs, and Police Unions are all pointing fingers at each other placing blame on the other guy right now, so your answer makes sense.
They refuse because they don't have the intelligence to know any better and they want to blame the President for their ineptness...And Dem's voters want these weak fools to run the government...
I have not read or heard of any Mayors, City Councils, Police Chiefs, ect. blaming Trump for this. The media propaganda of course...yes...absolutely, but not the local politicians. They have been pointing fingers at each other a lot though. Cuomo Vs. DeBlasio, Minneapolis Police Union vs. City Hall, ect..
