They hate America that’s why. They are orchestrating as much civil unrest as possible to tear down our entire system of law, destroy our system of governance and take over with Marxism. They believe western civilization is evil, needs to be erased and replaced, and that when the chaos they’re facilitating becomes unbearable, American citizens will go along with anything in order to restore peace.

Seems like a comfortable plan to me. I'll stay in my small semi-rural town, getting ready to actually go fully rural, and leave the cities for the democrats. Works well. I do me and they stay out of my face.
Are they inept, don't care, or are the democrat politicians benefitting too much by all the carnage and destruction to make any changes? (they are benefitting by keeping their office & income to keep it as is).
Is the reason the same in every city, or does it vary city to city?
I think in Chicago, they just don't care. They seem content letting the gangbangers kill each other off. That could work if we shut down the Mexican border, but there are more Mexican cartel gangsters moving to Chicago each day than there are gangbangers getting murdered.
Maybe we need to bring back Eric Holder and his Fast and Furious free guns program, and hand them to everyone standing on the street corners in South Chicago. Maybe increasing the murder rate would be better since the Dems wont close down the border, or end sanctuary cities?
For the same reason red states get back more in federal assistance then they pay in fed taxes. It's complicated (poverty, mismanagement, stupidity). One thing is for sure, every state should receive exactly what they put into the system. No more, no less. And the excess funds the blue states could get back should go to help their people. Why in the world does Illinois of all states over pay on fed income taxes. They need their money. They have their own problems. Same with CA.
The rock of society is middle class nuclear families. High property taxes and schools are often bad (or at least less predictably good) pressure middle class families to leave for adjacent suburbs and rural areas. Over time most Democrat controlled cities ironically have extreme income inequality despite their rhetoric about leveling the playing field. Housing is either very expensive or in high crime / blighted areas.
That's how most major cities work, Democrat or Republican. If it's a fast growing city or a densely populated city where housing is at a premium, it's going to get expensive. Even in Republican cities you get situations where there is either expensive housing or very slummy housing. And the slum sections of town are just as bad as slum areas in Democratic cities.

The majority of shootings in Chicago are related to those affiliated with black gangs.
A 7 year old kid was playing on the sidewalk in front of her grandma’s home. Car pulls up. 3 guys with firearms exit and fired on people at a party. One shot hit the kid in the forehead and that was that.
Security cameras captured it and the car’s tag. The driver has been charged with first degree murder. The others are still at large.
The attack was gang retaliation for a prior shooting.
There is no reasonable way for LE to prevent this kind of violence.
Most of the violence e occurs in 5/25 Police Districts.
Broken? Those cities generate 85% of US economic output, so maybe they aren't as broken as you think.
We have democracy, and Republicans try to get into the game of running cities, but they are systematically rejected by the American voters 80% of which live in those cities you like to demonize. Why do you think they are rejected? You might find the answer when you look at the misery in the rural Southern towns which are ran by Republicans.
How about you stay in the country side and let city people worry about the cities. Us working people accept the fact that cities have city problems, while those who cannot accept it move elsewhere.

Then they would not be able to blame Republicans..... Who have not had control of these Democrat killing fields.
