No, the virus overwhelmed their hospital system. First, they didn't take it seriously , and when they did, the resources were not enough. In contrast, US had/has MUCH more resources , and yet our death rate now exceeds Italy's . And more than half of the states were hit late. So I'd say pretty pathetic as far as US response goes, no excuses.

Oh, and that same Italy learned, so this summer during vacation travel they were testing each and everyone coming from hotspots with results on the spot.

Southern states observed the horror in NYC but didn't learn much and screwed up. Luckily, due to medical advances the treatments are better now, and the mortality much lower than March/April.
Oh the HORROR in NYC?

They didn't use the hospital ship, the Javiats Ctr, or the Central Park care facilities, and Emperor Cuomo stuffed nursing homes with Covid positive people effectively KILLING thousands!

Yeah, that was HORRIBLE!!!!!

So because a cloth mask only holds back 60-75% of particles, you are saying wearing it does absolutely nothing to help? Because Trump allowed Americans back, but not foreigners, he did absolutely nothing to help?

Its a pretty tough thing, morally, politically and legally to strand Americans overseas.

Yes from the day of the travel restriction to beginning of april over 400K thousand Americans came back from China. Yes they were asked but not forced to quarantine. And we all know how well Americans do when it comes to following guidelines -- lol.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/coronavir...-430000-people

AND.....just some more information.

The northeast spread of the virus was traced primarily to travelers from Europe. That restriction -- to non-Americans only -- didn't happen until middle of March.

Lots of interesting articles about the tracing of the virus. Scientists can do amazing things.

The only group that was forced to quarantine happened in California when it fist happened. After that initial flight, there was no more forced quarantine once it started spreading. In New York they tried to get you to sign a contract stating that you will quarantine but if you refused no next step was taken.

The presstitutes who cover the White House wear masks, yet I heard three of them tested positive. What? How is that possible? Weren't we told masks protect people?

Well someone hasn't been paying attention.

You don't wear a mask to protect yourself -- you wear a mask to protect others.

You might want to do some reading -- seems you are 7 months behind.
