This is a great video about a restaurant that has stayed open in CA throughout the "pandemic", they have a NO MASK policy and of course the state has filed a case against him. This restaurant owner is an awesome American and understands the "situation" with this "virus". The only way we get "normal" back is to TAKE it back!

If it's about freedom of choice, then the decision to voluntarily wear a mask deserves as much protection as the decision not to wear one. It's one thing for a restaurant not to enforce a government mask mandate, but forbidding masks seems like swinging the pendulum too far in the opposite direction.

And shame on them for making it mandatory that you eat there!

True, but that argument can go both ways. No one is forced to eat a restaurant (or shop at a store) that requires masks. A dress code that either requires or bans masks is an assertion of private property rights. Government mandates are an entirely separate issue.

Which is exactly what has happened.
Who would cheer a cop for body slamming a woman for not wearing a mask?

Still, though, people better be careful in what they wish for in promoting greater rights and freedoms to make it easier to become infected by COVID-19. Not everybody who gets infected stays out of the hospital.
