If the Dems had control there wouldn't have been a $500 billion secret slush fund, with no one outside of the administration being allowed to see who they were giving OUR money away to. But I bet you're fine with that nice little secret GOP taxpayer money grab, right?

If nitwit Nancy got her way it would all go to Antifa, BLM, and the Kennedy Center for the Arts.

If you are going to spend, then you need to raise the funds. Otherwise you end up 27 trillion in the hole.
Paul's problem is that he believes in FOAD, especially if it is an issue not covered in the omnibus spending bill. 9/11 funding 9/11 related cancers going broke, "Oh we have to wait for the next Omnibus, I hope you last that long and can afford paying for your cancer treatment while I vote away your pre-existing condition." I'm sorry but Covid prevention happened three months too late to be in the Omnibus, try again in December. Covid related spending is a half of year too early to discuss. Renters and the unemployed can FOAD. This is no way to run a country. I am ashamed and feel stupid that I ever thought Paul was an option. The guy is a total Marie Antoinette.

But I'll ask again.

Since you are a taxpayer (at gunpoint), what did you do with your small allotment of tax money that simply showed up in your account or mailbox?

Hmmmm? Inquiring minds want to know what rugged "I answer to no other man" anarchists do with such things.
You're asking this as a "when did you stop beating your wife" gotcha question, and based on a flawed premise.

To No_Recess (and me, and other residents of Anarchistan), taxes are armed robbery. What you refer to as a "small allotment" is actually money taken from No_Recess by force and against his will. Basically, his mugger dropped some of the loot they took from his wallet and he was there to grab it.

Your choice of words suggests that the money was a gift or other form of favor from a momentarily benevolent tyrant, but it was simply a portion of what was stolen from him being returned to him. You want to consider it your (and other taxpayers) gift to him that you think he should return if he were a "true" anarchist, but your flaw is you don't recognize that it was always HIS money. It was his before Leviathan stole it, it was his after that, and it kept being his when they grudgingly gave a few cents on the dollar back to him. At no point did anyone have a higher claim on the fruits of his labor than he did, no matter how you dress it up or which words you choose to describe it.

So who cares what he did with his money? It's his to do with as he pleases.

I didn't get a check.

If I did it would be my money anyway so I could do what I want with it.

See Karl, it works like this:

You make it - it's yours.

Try David Friedman's The Machinery of the Freedom. It will help. Go down to your public library and take it out. Be sure to bring it back though because even though you paid for it...it magically doesn't belong to you. That book in that building that you paid for belongs to the collective, comrade.

I have my own opinions on taxes, how they are assessed, who pays them, and how they get spent (errr...wasted). You may be surprised to find out that my thoughts on this actually run closer to yours than you think.

Not that it is your business, or that I even addressed the question to you, but he was casting side eye on how I spent that $2400 of my tax money that simply showed up in my bank account. I am asking him what he did with his. Turnabout, fair play and all that.

I see, a direct deposit into your bank account then.

Well since you seem to have an opinion on how I spent the direct deposit of my tax monies into my bank account, I am asking how you spent yours.

I certainly read Milton Friedman stuff, not his goofy sons. Besides, I am working in an oil rich middle eastern city at the moment, chasing opportunities to make some real $$$. Of course I also have the honor of paying some real $$$ in taxes.
They don't have public libraries here. My tax dollars fund the public libraries in your Kalifornia neighborhood not that I have any choice in the matter). You are welcome.

The Democrats already passed their version of the second stimulus. Did any of you small brains miss the 3 trillion dollar HEROES act they passed? Now the GOP is in a mad rush to push forward their version just to show that they are merely casual drunks instead of full blown alcoholics like the Democrats. In the end, the alcoholics will win out and the final bill that Trump signs will be more like 5 trillion once all the last minute add ons are thrown in.

Honestly, liberals should be demanding for one thing only: universal healthcare. Universal healthcare would enjoy widespread support and would be better than any stimulus. This stimulus will basically kill any chance of universal healthcare in the future because we won't be able to afford it after this. The monetary realities will come biting us soon.

I thought Republicans were against socialism?

Because that is what this is, no matter what color crayon you use.
