Op...do you really honestly believe that? I’m not throwing shade on you, but it does seem like you take the other (conservative) media bias without much of your own to add in.
It would be worth your while to run up periscope and actually try to understand the whole picture of things. Partisanship from whichever side is pitching it is not a positive move for us as Americans.
i think that doctors have stated that they are being pressured NOT to give HCQ to patents. that leads mildly sick people getting really sick and ending up in the hospital. Once they are in the hospital it is too late.
what is sad is you don't even know that.
These doctors said that they and their colleagues have been not just pressured, but threatened with sanctions, even loss of their jobs, and licenses (in some states), for prescribing hydroxychloroquin. One physician even said that pharmacists in his state could and would refuse to fill prescriptions for this drug.

Endangering patients is frowned upon in the medical community.
I just read the Daily Beast article. Honestly, this is stupid. I don't know if this doctor is correct or not, but still. So let's dig into everything the woman said or believes in? What does that have ANYTHING to do with the HCQ study?
Do you know how many crazy things doctors do behind closed doors? Has anyone seen an episode of ER or Grey's Anatomy? People are human beings who believe in things. Has nothing to do with their profession.
Honestly, that one annoys me. Should we be discredited because of ones belives or something someone said 10-15 years ago?
The Daily Beast article was purely an attempt at character assassination on this physician intended to discredit her personally and by association, anything she stated regarding her experience with covid19 and its treatment. Bashing her that way is intended as distraction away from her work.

NIH found that there was typically no harm associated with administering HCQ during their trial. They decided to stop the trial, because they found no benefit on hospitalized patients. What I got from this, is administering HCQ, is a good measure to avoid hospitalization and the escalation of the virus.
