As a front line manager haven't you had to agree with the boss many times even though you knew they were wrong?
No, I haven't.
Now, there's often two (or more) ways of doing something and your way may actually be better than the manager's way but the manager wants it done this way first; so you explain your idea but roll with the manager.
What you are talking about here is lying to the American citizens. You cannot compare that to, say, a floor job at Amazon.
Redfield is in charge of the CDC and what it reports. It's his duty to uphold some sort of integrity and to provide support and transparency to the taxpayers. Trump saying people are going to be vaccinated is an outright lie and no one of Redfield's stature and responsibility has to support that unless he too is trying to politicize the vaccine. Obviously Redfield would like to keep his integrity and reputation, which is a smart move and will serve him well later on.
Trump is blatently using the vaccine as a political prop in hopes that it will get him reelected. He knows that all he has to do his tell his minions it's coming and they fall right for it (never mind the cold storage supply chain that needs to be put in place for this vaccine--sheesh). Hell, Redfield's disagreement will never even penetrate their brains.
Robert Redfield, the Director of the Center for Disease Control works for the President of the United States.
Why is he testifying in front of Congress and telling them we won't be getting a vaccine for up to a year? President Trump- who is closer to the situation- is telling everyone the vaccine will be ready by late October.
If you worked in a business and the CEO or President of the company told everything that an important initiative was going to be rolled out by October and you worked for that man, wouldn't it be logical to tell everyone who would listen that the CEO is right, regardless of your personal viewpoint? The CEO is the boss!
Who agrees with me that CDC Director Robert Redfield should be fired for publically disagreeing with his boss?
It's really difficult to tell when these posts are being sarcastic or these are their true thoughts. I would hope that you are being sarcastic as Redfield does not work for Trump and just might have a tad bit more medical knowledge than the Idiot in Charge. Trump is touting a vaccine for October to help his re-election chances. In his mind if he says it enough his MAGA people will believe it and then come October it will be ready in a few more weeks, right after the election. He couldn't' care less if it gave the American people leprosy as long as they could get out and vote for him.

He was just giving his opinion. I have heard scientist working on the vaccine say that mass production of the vaccine may not be available until January or maybe in May.
This comment that stupid mask was going to protect him better than a vaccine that was idiotic the vaccine will allow your body to create the antibody so you are then immune.
testing needs to be done on the vaccine to make it safe or no one will take it. You dont NEED a vaccine to go about your daily life. Life without a vaccine shouldnt have you shaking in your undies. If it does just lock yourself inside.

and this idiot, claiming wearing masks is going to be better than a vaccine? What a freaking moron I'm sorry this guy is an idiot

that is what they are doing right now testing the virus vaccine but go ahead wear your mask for the rest of your life it's your choice
I think you leave it to the CDC and Trump to sit down and chat and figure it out.
