Vaccine does not make a virus go away. There are still deaths from the flu even with a vaccine. The governors can easily make covid restrictions permanent
But it could contain it to a controllable level, we are not at that point as a nation. We still have around a thousand deaths a day, we should not be talking about opening up as if we are at a point of normalcy. We have a high infection and death rate, we should not be worried about wearing a mask.

How many do those deaths died solely because of Covid? How many had preexisting conditions?
Infection rate? Unless we test every single citizen we won’t know the tie infection rate and you can’t stop all infections unless you have perpetual lockdowns

Why is he testifying in front of Congress and telling them we won't be getting a vaccine for up to a year? President Trump- who is closer to the situation- is telling everyone the vaccine will be ready by late October.
If you worked in a business and the CEO or President of the company told everything that an important initiative was going to be rolled out by October and you worked for that man, wouldn't it be logical to tell everyone who would listen that the CEO is right, regardless of your personal viewpoint? The CEO is the boss!
