if trump were to die in mid-late october
and the rnc were to pick a new candidate
who could be pence or someone else
and the nov 3 election date was not enough time to prepare , so cancelled
how long could it take to a new election date?
End of december or january perhaps?

It's obviously the other way. People that practice social distancing and hand washing, and wear masks tend to be much more cautious about the virus. You can't confuse the people who do it properly with the people wearing mesh masks or dangling the mask on their chin or neck.
People who spread propaganda against safety measures are trying to deflect responsibility and sew doubt. By getting others to stop wearing masks, it reduces their guilt and sense of isolation.
Masks will obviously protect both the wearer and others. It's important not just to filter out all possible particles but to minimize them to reduce the severity of the disease by keeping the viral load at a minimum.
BS. I see lots of these virtue signaling mask wearers using them as chin diapers. Some of these mask Nazis wear those mesh masks. I see lots of these mask wearers totally ignoring social distancing. That's the real world, what people do in practice.
And you don't have a clue what people do at home, so you are just spouting fiction.
If you pay attention to what the experts are saying and not what CNN is saying, you would know that the masks don't do much of anything for the wearer. They don't stop airborne molecules. They don't have fine enough gaps in front and they have huge gaps on the side.
You sound like you have the sense of isolation and try to be part of something by spouting all this mask nonsense. You want to be part of the "mask team."
And how you are likely to get the virus is continuous close contact for 15 minutes or more according to the CDC. Not by walking 6 feet away from somebody without a mask in Home Depot.
My daughter has been treating covid patients since March along with dozens of colleagues. She, and the vast number of other doctors and nurses have not contracted it. Masks work. Well N95s do and, of course the Trump admin has not figured out how to get them to us, not that many of us would not wear them if they had.
But there is a real world experiment that went on this summer that you should pay attention to. Arizona had a 20% positive rate and 5000 cases per day when the vast majority of counties including Maricopa where 80% of the people live made masks mandatory. Within weeks, the cases dropped by 90%, hospitalizations dropped lower than they have been in the entire pandemic, and positive rate fell to 4%. Masks work, but you need very good compliance. It's like a poster said above, Trump got covid from someone who was not wearing a mask.
N95s DO work. I agree with you. When my son had it and was quarantined in the house, we kept our distance and wore N-95s when we went into the basement where he was. But we have 2 N-95s because I bought them years ago to wear when painting. Very few non medical people have access to N-95s. I wear the standard blue masks when I have to to go into retail stores.
There is very little supply of N-95s because previous administrations allowed 95% of protective equipment to be moved to manufacturing in China.
As for Phoenix, its like everywhere else. 4-6 weeks after Memorial Day and the protests, new cases dropped.
The protests were superspreader events and all the kids at lake houses and beach houses over Memorial Day spread the virus as well.
Trump has a fever and is getting monoclonal antibody treatment according to his doctor's statement a few minutes ago. Melania has a headache and a cough but apparently is doing much better than Trump.

What I find profoundly telling is that almost from the moment this news hit the airwaves people were speculating that this is some kind of Trump con. This is where we are in this country now. The president tells us he has a serious, possibly life-threatening illness and the first thing people think is, is this really true, or is he lying again?
Think about that for a minute. Our go-to thought is it could be a lie because he is such a serial liar and con man and cheat that it would be absolutely within his playbook to do something like this to divert from how badly he is doing in the polls and get him out of the next debate.
Whether he is lying or not hardly matters any more at this point. The point is that people cannot believe a single thing that comes from his mouth, even when it sounds like dire personal news that one certainly wouldn't lie about. He's just not believable.

I'm more of a Dem/Left hater than a Trump supporter, but I'm voting for him so that's close enough for the purposes of this thread. To answer your question: Yes, it bothers me that he knew he had been exposed and went to a fundraiser anyway. In general, I've haven't been a fan of Trump's messaging regarding CV19, but the bottom line is this: Nobody - not Trump, not Biden, can say with certainty if the impact of CV19 would have been worse or better had someone else been President. As such, I'm not basing my vote on how Trump has handled the Coronavirus, or on how Dems have handled the virus. Anyone who claims definitively that one party or the other has a monopoly on the best way to handle the virus is blinded by bias and has no credibility regarding this issue. Dem or Repub.
