I think dividing the country peacefully is not a bad option. It is better than civil
War that is for sure.

If the nation were peacefully divided we could negotiate a commonwealth where we may still be able to have things like common currency and free trade. We could divorce as friends.
Well stated and I so agree with you.

Actually I have a better idea. With all the supposed wealth the Trump family has, why don't his supporters convince him and his family to buy an island somewhere. Then all his supporters can move to that island and leave the rest of us alone? You get to start from scratch. Make up your own form of government, your own laws, etc. Go for it. Let me know how the oompa loompa responds.

They seem to want to live in a Stepford like community where no dissension or disagreement is allowed.
It shows no tolerance for other people, no any room for freedom of thought or action. How could you have elections or a democracy or a Republic if everyone thought the same way, and couldn't tolerate any difference of thought or opinion?

That is the exact opposite of everything America has ever stood for or represented.
Unbelievable.

The left has spent years calling us deplorables, racists, bigots and we are the ones who cannot tolerate the opinions of others? They have canceled those who were politically incorrect, they have used violence to drive conservatives from campuses and have made it clear conservatives would not be permitted to speak. People have been fired and even killed for being conservatives. How dare any leftist say we are intolerant.

We are unpatriotic? We are just sore losers? This is not a normal election and you know it. First it is a questionable result at best, the mail in ballots are likely full of leftist fraud. It is unprovable yes but still we all know it is not likely on the level. Nothing any leftist says will change my mind. Secondly this election is not JFK vs Nixon or Reagan vs Carter. This election is one where America has socialism on the ballot. The idea of this vile un American and un democratic economic system even being considered in this country is unbelievable. I grew up during the Cold War and this is the way of the enemy. Anyone who supports socialism does not deserve to breathe free air. If socialism won then one of two things happened. Either they cheated or American democracy has failed. Democracy is not infallible.....after all the NAZIs were elected too.

If we can save the Red States with secession then I am all for it. No it is not because I support opposing ideas being disallowed but because I don’t wish to live under a socialist state where my freedom has been lost and our enemies use the justification of a phony election to justify it. I am convinced this is the American thing to do.....I have no doubt the founding fathers would agree.

I support giving the states almost complete sovereignty and nearly abolishing the federal government regardless of who is president.

Ultimately, given that dems will resort to election fraud as a matter of course, we will have to leave the Union at some point. When you have no say whatsoever in the president (and thus ultimately the Supreme Court), there is no point in being a part of the US and ruled by coastal elites.
So you are OK with Emperor Donald, then Emperor Donald the 2nd, and no more elections?

What a racist statement. This country is great because of all the people of all colors and backgrounds that make it so. Stop playing the dog whistle race card.

…………………………. because our family has been here since the early 1600s. We are the original settlers and this is our home, not the land of communist serfs.

Celebrating the enslavement of conservative areas is only short lived. Free people will not stand to be ruled by the corrupt oligarchs.

One problem would be transport.

So Trump, on behalf of the red states, would build a wall around all the blue states because the blue states would still be having illegal immigrants. But the blue states would be disconnected. (i.e. you can't drive or fly from NY to California without going through a red state, or over through Canada).

A tariff would be levied on any travel between a blue state to red state to blue state, collected by the red state, which will help cover the wall costs. Flying over red state air space will also be taxed.

I think people on both sides would end up poorer in the end with the taxes and tarrifs, although the rich though will continue to get richer.
