To borrow an example provided by T. Coates: It is quite common for some people or groups to use certain words that others can’t. For example, I don't refer to my father by his first name. But there are plenty of people who do. That is because the relationship between myself and my dad is not the same as the relationship between my dad and my mother and his sister or others he grew up with.

Yeah, i think i agree with you there. Respect goes a long way and using better names for people you cant go wrong.
