Of course they would love to prosecute Trump, heck they impeached him for nothing, so they could send a message to would be outsiders that dared to stick their nose into politics to never ever challenge or question the DC elite.

Well it certainly would be precedent setting. I'm not sure the Biden administration would want to pursue that though unless Trump remains a threat to the nation.

The argument really is stupid, though. Firstly, there is no crime of obstruction as the president directs agencies and officers under his purview. Moreover, a president or politician generally is immune from criminal prosecution for acts carried out under their official duties at all times.
