LOL! During the last 15 years or so, it was becoming fashionable to claim the Redskins (oops, I said it) were cursed due to their name and would never win anything.
It kinda ignored the obvious: The Redskins (HTTR) had won 3 Super Bowls and 2 NFL Championships as ... wait for it .... trigger warning ... the Redskins.
I'm not surprised. Ridiculous, nonetheless.
Who's next? Atlanta Braves? Florida Seminoles? Kansas City Chiefs?
Does any critical thinking person honestly believe that the Indians give a rat's behind about this issue? They're busy counting their change from the profits of their casinos, which the white man flocks to in droves, and then complains about the Indians' successes that stem from those profits.
The Cleveland Indians were named as such to honor the Indians. In this day and age, however, as in so many instances, the truth ruins the narrative for the social justice warrior/woke crowd.
Give me five reasons why the tribes are wrong and you are right, and what life experiences have made you feel confident that you have the authority to tell native people they are wrong on this issue.
It is not "the tribes". It is a handful of whiners who want to complain about everything to get attention.

Indians have never minded the term Indian. Though many have moved to the term "NDN" to distinguish themselves from those other Indians.
Not long ago I never talked about India. No one I knew ever used the word Indian to refer to anyone but Native-Americans(I live in Oklahoma). But on the internet I find that using the term Indian for Native-Americans is confusing and has to be constantly qualified or given context in order for people to know what I'm talking about.
While I oppose these leftists whinebags, and the name by no means harms the Native community(if anything it keeps them in the public consciousness), I agree they should probably change the name.
