Also, how do you explain this:

Top 10 states by full vaccination: 14 hospitalized/100K
Bottom 10 states by full vaccination: 43 hospitalized/100K
Top 10 states: 99,986 not hospitalized/100,000
Bottom 10 states: 99,957 not hospitalized/100,000

If the national crisis involved a WAR, you can bet the weapon industry would produce enough of whatever was needed. There would be no shortage of bombs. Not a chance. Weird we constantly have shortage of beds.
Exactly.

As a side note, they've known about the nursing shortage - that was forecast to get even worse - for years.

What did they do about it? Nothing.

We do have weapon to handle the pandemic - it's called vaccination.

Hover over the map of Manhattan and go to Chelsea/No Mad/West Chelsea, Hells Kitchen (10036). It says "100% fully vaccinated." You'll also see that many other neighborhoods have very high rates.
Yeah, hover over that. Slowly. Look at the numbers (all of them). Notice something strange?

Take your time.

Pfizer "booster" data, read for yourself:

LINK (FDA)

Summary: Data is from 315 people 18-55 and only 12 people over 65. No one under 18, where risk of myocarditis is highest.

Restating the same data is not an explanation.

The point is that there is a strong correlation between vaccination levels and hospitalization levels.

Vaccination reduces hospitalization.

If your vaccination works, why are you so frightened? Oh wait.

It's people like you that have hardened my resolve.

Anti-vaxxers or vaccine-hesitant don't want vaccines. They want some other solution. Exactly what that solution is, I don't know. Perhaps they want everyone to either pretend the virus doesn't exist or else is no big deal.

ICU beds per capita (US, pre-pandemic, I think): 35 per 100,000

I am not frightened.

My primary concern is the hospitals filling up with the unvaccinated.
