Plenty of Republicans and Trump supporters still have social media accounts on Twitter, FB, and Instagram. I assume because they’re not violating the Terms of Service.
Let me rephrase, so, if Wells Fargo decided to close the accounts of BLM supporters, would you be okay with it?

I have heard congresspeople talking about civil war provocation on national news, so what are you talking about. What jobs. Certainly not private businesses who the government has devastated.

Dorsey doesn't care but I'm pretty sure at least a few employees do.

Yes. I've never hated or been so afraid of tech as I am right now. Everyone should be. And other random businesses who's CEO's or Boards want to use their position to censor or take political and social positions. Those are INDIVIDUAL positions, not something a company itself can or should promote.

The social media tech companies feel they have a calling to shape America.

I would argue that so do the Maga tribe. One just happens to wield much more of the wealth and power in America.

I feel that this is like poking a hornets nest as is going to galvanize their militias into taking more action against the government, silicone valley, and snowflakes.

Anyone else worried about this or am is being a little over-dramatic?
I'm not concerned in the slightest. Should have happened far sooner.

Sometimes, you have to use measures you wouldn't ordinarily use - like grounding all the US planes on 9/11, declaring curfews in hurricane ravaged areas, etc.

That's what they're doing. Turning off the information/communication venues of a very very dangerous movement.
You can stamp out little fires with force and censorship. But when it's more than little fires, you must go all out totalitarian.

You might believe that if you don't believe what they are saying.

Twitter banned Trump because they were worried his rhetoric would incite folks. They claim there was already evidence of calling for more mobbing of the Capitol on the 19th.

I don't think Twitter did it to just shut down Republican voices. Lots of Republicans/conservatives still there spouting their ideology.

I do believe there is concern that it might be used to encourage more 'protests'.

Google has been telling parler for weeks to get moderators. Parler refused so Google said done.

Apple and Google don't play. Apps get dumped all the time that don't meet THEIR conditions.

So if I thought they were being spiteful -- yeah it's poking the bear but it seems to be more substantial than that.
