They DEFENDED the Constitution. The rest of them certified knowingly fraudulent votes. The constitution was violated when state AG's SOS, changed election laws rather than the legislature, as the constitution requires.

Well, what are they supposed to do when they don't read any conflicting information on their own and their "leaders" confirm their delusions? Yes, Cruz and Hawley are despicable.
I shudder to think about if either of those two are able to sustain their political careers and the same morons who inflicted Trump on us, push them into higher office. Funny, there are entire states (including red Utah) that do their elections by mail. I was able to track my ballot fine and see it was counted.

In any case, yes this would be a case of purging political dissidents. Nothing Senators Hawley and Cruz did was illegal. Thus, this would be punishing them for constitutionally protected ideas, statements and actions simply because some find them offensive.

Why did Pence not do the same as what Biden did in 2017?
Pence was in a much more difficult position with Trump threatening him an other death threats. There were not 100 Congressmen an 14 senators objecting, there were 5 house members from the left raising objections. Obama wasn’t calling Biden a traitor and a coward. No senators objected in 2017.
