Yes, you're right about McCarthy. Spineless "leader" The right wing crazies who previously only worked about on the fringe have entered Congress in more ways than one.
It is clear that the GOP has a very large number of extremists in the ranks of its Senate and House delegations. The mental state of many of these is rightfully questionable based on their past views and comments. How is it that people like this are getting elected in some places?
It's pretty simple, really. They fear black and brown people. Women working outside the home is another irritant to the Grand Old White Male Party, but they had to pivot on that with the economy in shambles.
