If the mRNA vaccine were to produce prions, then the SARS-CoV-2 infection would of necessity have to do it, too.

The new experimental COVID-19 vaccines ARE different from conventional vaccines. VERY different. I suppose you have not paid attention.
The AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines don't use mRNA like the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines do, so if one doesn't want an mRNA vaccine, then they have a choice to get a different vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, life is full of choices!
