If you are single and childless, you will receive $ 1400 under the Rescue Act. A family of four would receive $ 11,600 ( I have included the child tax credits in this calculation); more if the children are under 6.

I know raising kids is expensive. But this variance seems a bit out of proportion. 12K is a down payment on a house. $ 1400 covers one month of rent in a metro area.

Did I miscalculate? What are your thoughts on this?

That's not a given. A lot of people make too much money and will get zilch.

I agree. No one in my family will be getting a dime. Myself, my brother and two sisters make too much.

Agreed. Sorry, was referring to those whose income qualifies. You are correct.

IMO, having children is a personal choice.

The government of the USA had no business subsidizing any person's choices, whether it be personal or business.

My kids decided how many they could care for and limited their families to what they could afford. They may have wanted more than one, but kids cost money.

It cost my state bunch of money to school the kids. I'm paying $6000 plus in school taxes for other people's kids every single year.

Hmm....so why do you think that is? What have Democrats historically supported? Is it the stable married family with 2.5 kids, a dog, and a house in the burbs? Or someone else?

Hint. Kids cost more than 4K each a year.

Woman I know, also with 3 kids, said she’s going on a lavish vacation with the money. She’s not sure where yet.
