Fauci lost his credibility a long time ago. Anyone who takes him seriously doesn't have a bright future ahead.

"Listen and Obey".....That's the on-going theme coming from Fauci, Biden, and the radical left. We heard it ourselves when Biden presented his first speech to the nation last week. Filled with doom, gloom, and threats of "I'm not promising, but you MIGHT be able to have a cookout on July 4th this year. just a small one.....maybe, if you act right". And, Fauci is enjoying his ride at our expense, thanks to Sleepy Joe....I mean....Thanks to that incompetent bag of lies and deceit.

I think some people might have been able to avoid a respirator or two ----
The inability to maintain 6-feet distance has been the number one reason cited by school districts as to why children could not and still can not return full time. Most will be able to do the 3-foot distancing. They can not create additional space in their buildings. For instance, keeping the 6-feet distancing would require, according the principal where three of my student teachers are serving, finding 31 additional classrooms but keeping the 3-feet distancing would require finding two, which while not ideal, he can manage.

Yes, the loss of this last year of in-person school will negatively impact millions of those children’s lives for decades to come, including out-and-out destroying far more than would have died from Covid. We might, additionally, have been able to avoid a suicide or two.

From the link:

“Speaking on CNN's State of the Union, Fauci said that the CDC is "very well aware that data are accumulating making it look more like three feet are okay under certain circumstances," but he stopped short of issuing such guidance himself.

So, Dr. Fauci did not say what is stated in the thread title.

Your post seems to have missed the operative word on this issue: MAY

As in: 3 feet may be enough.

That doesn't mean 3 feet is enough. According to your own link, the CDC is still studying the data.

It also missed that Dr. Fauci did NOT say that three feet are sufficient.
It’s right there in the OP’s link.

Per: Under federal law, Trump didnt t have the power to directly fire Fauci, a career civil servant, and remove him from government. And while Trump could have tried by ordering his political appointees to dismiss the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci could appeal -- a time-consuming process.

Dern those appeals !

May I ask how many years have you conducted studies on immunology or disease control? Did Bush give you an award for your research ?
Sounds to me Fauci 'DID' have valid accomplishments thru his career.
Even now I'll listen to the message from a learned person in that field of acute study.

So the hoops that we made restaurants and schools jump through over the last year in regards to distancing in an effort to try keep everyone “safe” from a respiratory virus were pointless?

So he is now recommending 3 feet? Is that with one mask or 2?

It kind of makes sense. Social distancing was at 6' with one mask now it is 3' with 2 masks so if I wear 3 masks can we trade hugs and handshakes with friends?
