^Oh look, someone who cannot defend their own guy so they feel the need to deflect. You cannot even come up with one single good thing that Biden* might donate his money to if he would actually do that, which he won't. That is sad, very, very sad, that you feel your guy is such a loser.

Psst remember when Biden was VP? He charged high rent for his SS detail to stay in the cottage on his property. Hmmmmm Pot meet kettle.
He charged a really low rent. Your mixing up stories. Rented it out for 2200 per month. I know this is deflection but Jared and Ivanka made the ss rent an apartment just so they could use the bathroom because they refused to let the ss guys go the the bathroom in their property.
There is really NO comparison.

Biden donated almost 10%, before he was even looking to run, of his income. Get with us when Trump comes even remotely close. Heres a hint-he won't.

MY point was and is pot meet kettle. They all do it and it is always acceptable when its your guy doing it. I would understand if Biden had built a special cottage just for the SS to use, but he didnt. The cottage was sitting there empty and the nation was providing him a huge service. Like any elected parasite Biden used it to rope in some money. You are splitting hairs and you know it. Yours is the my rapist is better than your rapist argument because sometimes my rapist uses condoms.

Not a trump guy nor am I defending him. I am calling out the hypocrisy of tagging him for things Biden has already done. Either it is always wrong or it isn't wrong. It cant be just when its the other side.

How much in dollars did Trump donate vs Biden? I am not a % guy. I dont give 10% and never will but I do give to St. Judes and Operation Smile. For example I know that Trump has made his private jet available on more than one occasion. That is big bucks by itself. Yes he likely wrote off every dime, but then so did Biden. I give to Operation Smile in Thailand. I have never written it off.

There is fair and reasonable and then there is being a blood sucker.

At the time Biden was in the hole from large medical bills, that took a toll on his finances, he was not sitting so pretty. I am sure there were expenses associated with the cottage use and he was not exactly milking the government by charging the princely sum of 2200 a month. You really can’t compare.
This is like comparing someone who wants to steal a kiss to a your rapist.

After all of the money that he and his son received from the Ukrainians and the Chinese, he can certainly afford to do it.

I think that a % is the best way to gauge a mans charity. Trumps have been trivial in comparison to his income. Also Charity is most seen in the moments you give without anything in return.

You donate because you care. You even donate to things you cant write off it sounds like. THAT is charity.

Biden doesn't brag about his, and I never would have suspected he gave almost 10%. Trump? Its a news conference, and the vast majority of his "charitable" giving has been easements on his properties-and often involved hm turning a small cash purchase into a massive tax writeoff. Those arent the same.

Let me give you a example. I bought storage lockers as a hobby for a bit. I could have donated the designer bag I found in a locker I bought for $150, and the bag was easily 2K! So I could have written off the 2K bag you donate to Goodwill.

Charitable guy right? Except here reality. Its DARN hard to get value like that from a bag that could very well be fake. Some of the fakes are REALLY hard to spot. So these designer bags dont really have good resale value. But the ones that can be authenticated? Sell at high values. So its easy to provide documentation showing the value of the bag you donated to goodwill. Voila. Small investment, massive writeoffs. In fact during bidding seeing these bags really doesn't cause folks to bid as high as you expect in a locker-because everyone who does this knows they probably arent real. And even if they were real it might still be hard to get that value. Its unlikely a tax auditor would know this, and even if he did you can write it off as a "misunderstanding". And thats the sort of thing Trump does.

BTW for those wondering? I gave it to my niece as a present after she saw it and was instantly in love. Odds of it being real? hmm...50/50. There was a lot of high end stuff in the locker, but also some knockoffs.

Also for those who are curious? Storage lockers? A TON of hard work. One place I won 2 lockers on the third floor. And had 12 hours to empty them. Which...hey thats doable right? Elevator was broken. And.....it was 110 degrees that day. It was 130 inside on the third floor. I almost got heatstroke. Also-theres a story behind every locker, and most of them are heartbreaking. You can see it in many of them as you go through. Medical bills of someone dying, court documents that make it clear they lost all their stuff. You're supposed to return personal stuff like that. If you ask the storage folks, that stuff is almost never picked up.

I can't say that him donating his salary or not donating his salary would change anything that I think about him. Maybe if he never mentioned it and later after his presidency it came out that he was donating his salary to veteran's groups and cancer research or something, well that would be one thing. It isn't going to make me think more or less of a president if they do or don't forgo their salary though, especially when there isn't a large expectation from the public that they do so.
