I'd love to have a cabin there. I can't do winter there. I am from the rocky mountains of Colorado, I know cold. I don't like cold. That's why I live in San Diego. I hunt in Alaska. Even in the summer you better expect the unexpected.

A pandemic is a different beast.
Exactly.

It's beautiful. I spent a summer doing graduate studies in Edmonton (Alberta, I know, but I did get to the mountains).

Well I don't know about on average

However we have them here too. Anti-vaxxers, and people who think this is all made up.

I actually met one yesterday, a neighbour.

Small talk, asking me how I was. Said I was concerned about the new variants and how they seem to be affecting younger healthy people much harder, so much so they need to be hospitalized. He responded that that is all made up. He left before I could as him for his " proof ".

Especially since this is a big story currently in Vancouver.

No worries. Doesn't the CDC know that the US-Canadian border is still closed?

The twit should have stayed at home. He deserves to be stuck between a rock and a hard place (I grew up in Canada; I'm allowed to say that).

Oh, I know. Just search on YouTube for anti-masker meltdowns (let alone anti-vaxxers) in Canada. Plenty of idiots to watch.

$39 billion is a fair amount. That’d be like 10x that in the US.

That's about 2% of Canada's GDP. Our latest stimulus was 2% of USA GDP.

Lots and lots of negative press about that amount. Huge difference, though - it was once.

Canada would be doing it over and over again. It's a huge amount.
