I have a smallpox vaccine. Why should I care if my neighbor has one? Whether or not she does and whether or not she gets smallpox... as far as my own health, it makes NO difference at all. In fact it makes no difference to my own health at all if everyone else on the planet is not vaccinated and contracts smallpox. I AM PROTECTED AGAINST SMALLPOX BECAUSE I HAVE A SMALLPOX VACCINE!!!!!!!

Maybe they really don't trust the vaccine is all I can figure. They are scared and won't feel safe unless everyone does what they do.
I just don't get you guys. How many drugs have been released that were "safe" only to turn out to cause great harm after 3 or 4 years. Even vaccines clearly cause harm. There is a court and a fund to compensate people for vaccines.
There is clearly nothing wrong with me cautious especially about a "vaccine" that is being distributed on an emergency basis and we don't know the long term effects of for a virus that has a (stretched out) death rate of 2% in the USA. (and that 2% is mostly people over 65).
If your not that, seems perfectly rational for people not to want to get it.
All the vaccines you list above were tested with the most stringent safe guards and have YEARS of records to consult.
One basic problem for some is in weighing the relative benefit/risk ratios on both sides. Being so enormously positive on the vaccine side.

What the above misses is the propensity for coronaviruses to mutate, as this one obviously already has. So a very important reason to vaccinate everyone in the world as quickly as possible, is to reduce the size of the active pool of virus out there. That lessens the chance of a more pathogenic variant emerging.

Did smallpox mutate? Did any of the other diseases that we are all commonly vaccinated for mutate?

That's what you fail to comprehend about a vaccine. It IS about the person who is vaccinated. Otherwise there would be no point of even having a vaccination. Sorry to burst your bubble, but your collectivist indoctrination does NOT fit this situation.
A vaccination protects the person who gets the vaccine. No more, no less (assuming the vaccination is effective).
