The left struggles with turnout compared to the right. That is one big benefit the GOP get's from being so intertwined with fundamentalist Christianity. Republicans vote with religious zeal. Democrats don't have that advantage. I don't believe there are that many moderate, undecided voters that could go either way left. Elections going forward will be won on turnout.
The left turned out in MASSES to elect Obama. Young people, and others who never considered voting registered to vote for Obama. There are people on the left who now feel the passion to vote, and that's likely how Biden got elected - from those who registered to vote for Obama and returned to the voting booth after enduring Trump's presidency.
Although I agree with you, in the distant past the disenfranchised left didn't bother to vote. Times have turned.
I think Trump supporters have gone off the deep end. Donny Jr, really. Tell me what qualifies him.
