There is some historical evidence to suggest the market is manipulated. Just before long week ends, summer holidays we often see a spike in gas prices. Why? That gas was bought months before....but now that more customers will NEED it -- they hike up the price.

Pipelines are bad according to the Democrats. They should party in the streets?

This is just another example of why the repulsive mentally impaired idiot in the White House should still be in his basement. He hasn't got a clue on how to run a pinochle game, much less this country.

Um -- isn't the pipeline private. Did they consult the feds before they shut down the pipelines.

Come on now -- if Trump was in office and the libs were blaming him you would be doing backflips to try and suggest how Trump cannot control this kind of disaster.

What a BS The truth is that everything is politics.
This is happening under Joe Admin. Joe needs to do something and fixs it. Do you think POTUS is only "Shaking Hands & Kissing Babies" Of course, MSM will not report the news in this way. They will say Joe is fine.

If an administration is seen as being openly hostile towards the petroleum industry, that alone can make speculation creep upwards.
Bingo!!!

Colonial is a privately- held corporation. Koch Industries is the single largest shareholder.

The cyber ransom attack has been attributed to a gang in Russia.

Presumably Koch will be investing in increased cyber security unless Congress decides to throw federal money at it.

It's situational. If a President implements a policy of supporting oil exploration and releases strategic reserve oil, it will lower the price. That's the partially the President's doing. If a tanker gets stuck in the Suez and blocks all the oil tankers from getting through, and prices rise, that's not the President's fault.

True, however Trump's Energy Policy maximized domestic fossil fuel production where Biden is talking about implementing a very restrictive energy policy to address the faux man made part of climate change. So this makes energy markets uncertain which only means higher prices across the board.

Isn't Biden taking action? I'm reading lots of news reports saying so. FBI is working on it, white house working with the colonial..
"Over the weekend, the White House stood up an emergency working group to contend with potential energy supply issues and loosened rules on petroleum shipping on highways. Officials said Monday they were preparing for "multiple contingencies" should fuel supply be impacted by the shutdown of the pipeline, a precautionary decision meant to ensure its systems were not compromised. Colonial Pipeline said Monday evening that one of its fuel lines has restored service under manual control."

Are you saying this is untrue and Biden is doing nothing?
Do you think he should be doing more or doing something different?
I'm aware that there is so often criticism without any constructive thoughts attached. What are your constructive thoughts?
